An unfair result?
“We had 19 chances, or 19 shots on goal, seven or eight of them on target. Their goal after two minutes took us by surprise, the other two goals were big mistakes on our part. It’s a game that we could’ve won by two or three goals but we didn’t for different reasons.”
Inefficiency at both ends of the pitch
“We can’t be unhappy with our attacking play although if we’d been a bit calmer and more precise at the decisive moment, maybe we could’ve converted some more of our opportunities. But we attacked a lot, we scored two goals. We’ve been really solid defensively of late but unfortunately tonight we gifted them two goals.”
