It’s been clear to me since very early on in my teaching career that a lot of learners – especially in Spain – know English grammatical theory better than plenty of native English speakers do!
But they rarely have the opportunity to put it into practice, which is the most difficult thing to master.
Speak. Make mistakes. Learn from them. Find alternative and better ways to say what you want to say. It’s my job to point out your errors and ways for you to improve, both in and out of class.
For all the different types of classes I’ve taught, the communicative method is my preferred way of tutoring and is the one I find gets the best results. Make learning English fun.
